Marie Van Der Merwe – Physiotherapist
Marie is a senior physiotherapist here at Brecken Health Care she qualified at the University of Cape Town in 1984 and has 30 years of experience. Marie has special interests in Sports Injuries, backs and necks, post-operative rehab. Marie also has a special interest in treating and assisting the elderly.
Cassie Cao – Physiotherapist
Cassie graduated from Curtin University in 2016 and shortly after joined the Brecken Health Care team. Cassie has gained a broad range of experience including treatment of musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurologica conditions and she aims to further her studies within these areas. She enjoys treating a range of different musculoskeletal conditions with a special interest in post-operative rehabilitation.
Sarah Zhang – Physiotherapist
Sarah Zhang graduated from Curtin University in 2016 and became a member of Brecken Health Care at the beginning of this year. Sarah is passionate about treating a variety of musculoskeletal related pain with particular interest in sports related injuries, sports related taping, back and neck pain and post-operative rehabilitation. Sarah also enjoys provide rehabilitate advice to the elderly.
Sarah is keen to utilise pain modulation, manual therapy, specific exercise program tailored to the patient ot provide patient centred care to further enhance the quality of the life.
Sarah is currently running pilates exercise classes, and she is enthusiastic to bring deep core activation into your daily exercise regime.
Francesco Di Mattia – Physiotherapist
Francesco received his BSC in 2009 from Università di Roma-Sapienza and the Master in Clinical Physiotherapy in 2015 from Curtin University. His core skills are management of spinal and chronic pain conditions, anterior knee pain and tendinopathy. Francesco integrates motor retraining, joint manipulation and pain education into a whole-person approach.
He endeavours to update himself regularly with the latest scientific research and keeps a special interests in joint hypermobility and breast cancer-related lymphoedema.
