We wish to extend our best wishes to all of you in these challenging times.
Brecken Physiotherapy Department will remain open. We have established a telephone platform to consult with our patients, effective from Tuesday 14th April. Teleconsultations will be offered to those patients whom prefer to stay home and consult telephonically with their Physiotherapist.
We will continue to offer face to face Physiotherapy services for those patients that prefer to visit the Clinic.
Teleconsultations has been proven to be effective in assisting the patient to manage their health.
If you have any uncertainties or questions, please contact our Reception, who will gladly assist.

Marie Van Der Merwe – Physiotherapist
Marie is a senior physiotherapist here at Brecken Health Care she qualified at the University of Cape Town in 1984 and has 30 years of experience. Marie has special interests in Sports Injuries, backs and necks, post-operative rehab. Marie also has a special interest in treating and assisting the elderly.
Francesco Di Mattia – Physiotherapist
Francesco completed a Master in Clinical Physiotherapy in 2015 from Curtin University after graduating in Italy in 2009. Over almost 10 years of clinical practice, his core skills have been the management of spinal and chronic pain conditions, tendon problems and knee pain. Francesco integrates manual therapy, manipulation, physical training and pain education into a whole-person approach. He endeavours to be up-to-date with the latest scientific research and keeps a special interests in joint hypermobility and breast cancer-related lymphoedema.
Chhaya Sharma- Physiotherapist
Chhaya graduated from Manipal academy of Higher Education(MAHE) India in 2006.
Chhaya has over 10 years of clinical experience in treating variety of Musculokeletal conditions with particular interest in Shoulder pain, Neck & upper back pain with post natal fitness and pain relief. Chhaya integrates posture correction, Joint Mobilisation, Manual Therapy and ElectroTherapy with specially tailored Exercise programme to make a faster recovery.
Jessica Pocock- Physiotherapist
Jess graduated from Salford University (England) in 2008. She has a special interest in Women’s health especially pregnancy related conditions such as pelvic girdle pain, postnatal recovery, abdominal separation, prolapse management and and pelvic floor health.
With over 10 years experience Jess also has a broad range of experience in musculoskeletal, cardiorespiraotory, and palliative care.
